It may have started as a hobby, but Corinne’s passion has led her to produce goat cheese & yogurt that consistently wins medals. Run by pharmacists Corinne & Peter Blacket, Drysdale Cheeses produces small quantities of handcrafted cheese and yogurt from their own herd of Saanen milking goats.
Operating since 2005, Drysdale Cheeses is the only commercial cheesemaker on the Bellarine.
Corinne believes in ethical farming and permaculture principles. Although Drysdale Cheeses is not organic, they operate with a holistic approach to agriculture.
The pampered goats eat natural, weedy pasture along with tree cuttings, hay and grains. The goats’ natural diet and the freshness of the milk contributes to the smooth taste of the milk, cheese and yoghurt.
Drysdale cheeses are available from selected provedores and you’ll also find them on the menu at Bellarine Taste Trail restaurants. From early morning milkings to late‐night birthings, Peter and Corinne are passionate about their tiny farming enterprise.
