Established in 1996, Bellarine Estate is one of the oldest wineries on the Bellarine Peninsula. They specialise in award winning premium cool-climate wines, with their Shiraz and Pinot being highly acclaimed. They are available to taste and buy at their cellar door or to have with a meal in the onsite restaurant “Bouchon @ Bellarine”, which offers a French provincial style menu.
The 100 acre property occupies the northern slopes of the hills between Drysdale and Portarlington, overlooking Corio Bay. Since the first vintage in 1999 their wines have continued to win acclaim in Australia and overseas.
They produce two labels: Bellarine Estate and Portarlington Ridge. Fruit for the Bellarine Estate label is one hundred per cent estate-grown, while the Portarlington Ridge label includes fruit from other growers in the region. The friendly Bellarine Estate staff will be more than happy to take you through a tutored tasting of our wines when you visit our cellar door.
Bellarine Estate has recently launched the Shaken Not Stirred brand of Espresso Martinis and cocktails. Be sure to try them out on your next visit.
Bellarine Estate is open Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 11-4.
Bouchon @ Bellarine restaurant & cafe is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and Friday and Saturday nights for dinner.
